I converted to Catholicism at 38, when I married my husband. I’m 70 now. For nearly all of my life, I have professed Christianity. Even though I’ve always been very friendly on the outside, I’ve held myself aloof interiorly. Aloof from myself, the world, and God. At 70 that’s a lonely place to be. Spiritual Direction has gently helped me to allow God to open the door of my heart to the depth and breadth of his love and grace. God has truly used Cherry to shine a light on that path forward for me. To turn empty words into a rich experience of faith. – J.T.

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from Spiritual Direction Sessions, but I was pleasantly surprised at the many ways in which sessions with Cherry have assisted me in gaining a closer and deeper relationship with God.  Throughout our sessions, I have noticed significant growth in feeling more at peace, and gaining a greater ability to “be still” and allow myself to be more fully in the presence of God.  Cherry has also guided me to a space where I am gaining a greater ability to hear God, and understand my purpose and His Will more fully.  Additionally, Spiritual Direction with Cherry has provided a safe space for God to instill deeper healing of past emotional and spiritual wounds within me.  I am grateful for God’s nudge to say “yes” to Spiritual Direction with Cherry.  – J. Cherry has been an enormous blessing in my life. Her spiritual motherhood has helped me to nurture and grow in my relationship with the Trinity. Our time together is something I always look forward to, and in each meeting, there is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s work.  As an introvert, I was hesitant about meeting with a spiritual director. I worried I wouldn’t feel comfortable sharing about the most intimate part of my life – my relationship with Christ. But, like all good mothers, Cherry knows how to best care for her children and make them feel at ease.  Now, I can’t imagine my life without spiritual direction. God giving me Cherry as a spiritual mother is a gift I’m constantly thankful for and evidence of His particular love for me.
I am grateful for all the ways Cherry has helped me in my spiritual growth and am looking forward to continuing to walk with her on my journey toward eternal life.  – A.C.
